Steven Orandello Jr. is quite the student at General Douglas MacArthur High School in Levittown, NY. He is part of the class of 2018 and has been enjoying High School very much so far. Not only is he an accomplished wrestler on the Varsity team at 195 weight class, but he\u2019s also a First Degree Black Belt in Karate. Steven was born on Halloween in 1999 at\u00a0 <\/span>Good Samaritan Hospital to proud parents Diane and Steven Orandello. It was no surprise to both Diane and Steven that this little baby boy would grow up to be a well-rounded and caring individual. Not only is he popular among his fellow students, but he\u2019s quite admired by his teachers as well. Steven\u2019s career goals after High School are becoming a teacher.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a Junior in High School, Steven is already taking college courses to gain a head start. He\u2019s able to keep up his excellent grades even with his busy extra-curricular activity schedule. Academics isn\u2019t the only place in which Steven excels. He\u2019s also a great athlete. Steven is on his school\u2019s varsity wrestling team in. He\u2019s hoping to get a wrestling scholarship to college.\u00a0 <\/span>He also attends the Shaolin Self Defense Center is West Babylon, NY where he is a 1<\/span>st<\/sup><\/span> Degree Black Belt in Kempo Karate He has been practicing Karate since he was the tender age of four. Steven\u2019s father, Steven Orandello Sr. is proud of his son’s achievements both academically and athletically. \u201cMy son is a very disciplined individual. His work ethic at school and his determination to succeed at everything he does make me very proud.\u201d Mr. Orandello also says that the discipline and practice of martial arts have helped teach his son respect for others. He says, \u201cSteven understand that practicing martial arts isn\u2019t for showing off and making people fear you. It\u2019s all about respect for others, and he is one of the most respectful kids you will ever meet.\u201d Steven applies his martial arts skills and discipline into his everyday life. He has been able to achieve self-confidence which helps him stay focused whether he\u2019s preparing for a test or a wrestling match. Either way, martial arts has been a great outlet for Steven to build up his strength a well. <\/span><\/p>\n

Steven also has a passion for cars just like his father Steven Orandello Sr. He often goes with his father to the track to watch his father race his Dodge Charger. He also has a love for the New York Jets football team and loves the football season where he can watch the games with his friends and family. <\/span><\/p>\n

Steven has a little brother Vincent who is eight years old. It\u2019s obvious that Steven\u2019s little brother looks up to him as he also has a love for wrestling. Vincent recently came in 2<\/span>nd<\/sup><\/span> place at the Ted Peterson Junior Wrestling Tournament. Steven often gives his little brother wrestling tips and says, \u201cI\u2019m so proud of Vincent, especially when he wants me to show him different wrestling moves. I like being a big brother, and it makes me feel really good that he looks up to me.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
